How to Post Your Work

When posting your work for critiques, make sure that you format your posts according to these instructions.

Post titles should go as follows:
Name_Field Trip or Assignment

example:
Gary Geraths_Huntington Gardens
Gary Geraths_Workbook/Homework

Take the time to clean and scan your work, and make adjustments in photoshop  (crop, adjust levels/curves, saturation, etc.) before you post them on the blog!! Remember that the scanners won't accurately capture your colors and they will look different on every monitor. Test out your image with different settings, and make sure to look at them in greyscale to make sure your paintings are organized and not a mess of values.

I'd recommend scanning at 300-600 dpi so you have a really crisp and large image file to work with so your art doesn't get fuzzy or pixelated when it's projected.

Also, hop on an instructor seat in any one of the classrooms and testing out how your images look on the blog by projecting them on the wall. See if your art gets blown out and needs to be readjusted to look good on the wall.

nasty scans = nasty grade

Upload your scanned images onto your post by clicking the picture icon above and selecting files from your device. Make sure that when you select the images you upload, there is a blue border around the images to ensure those images will appear in your post.

Once the image appears on your page, click on it once and adjust the size to X-Large.

Once you are ready to post your images, go to the right hand side under Post Settings and click Labels. Label each of your posts with your name and the assignment name/field trip name by clicking on them in the list.
PLEASE don't make your own labels!

After all of that, you are now ready to post.
Click Publish at the top right to make your post public, or save it for later if you want to make any other changes. Save doesn't mean Publish so make sure your posts are PUBLISHED before the deadline.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
